I've dealt with a few "dogs" in my day ...

When Mandy asked me to review her new book, Why Men Are Like Dogs, I was happy to oblige since she is a dear friend of mine; and knowing the fact that I've dealt with a few 'dogs' in my day. Well, I figured I'd 'throw her a bone,' so to speak. Truth be told, she ended up doing ME a favor. Wow! I read the whole book in a matter of hours (in one sitting) and came away with a new perspective on my role as a woman in today's 'dog eat dog' world. I am a Classy Lady who has been married for almost 11 years. My husband and I also have two children. That said, Mandy still helped me realize several areas I would be wise to pick up the 'classiness' a bit. Ladies at all stages of 'classiness' would be wise to read Mandy's book. Her message is simple, witty and applicable. I also happen to know she practices what she preaches. Mandy Pratt is one Classy Lady herself. Take my word for it, we can all learn a thing or two from her no-nonsense, classy ways! Congratulations, Mandy!

Mandy's book is a treat to read! I recognize some of the similarities that she draws between man and man's best friend. What a clever and inspiring way to advise us on how to nurture and maintain our relationships with men (and others). Her witty self-help book, Why Men Are Like Dogs, is just the ticket for a great ride on the Gravy Train of life and loving. You must read it to discover the nuggets of wisdom within that could change your life. You, too, will soon be howling at the moon!

Loving self first and then loving others is the recipe for healthy lasting relationships ...

When I was asked to write a review for Why Men Are Like Dogs, based on the title alone, I thought, 'Okay, here's another cliche self-help book. How could this possibly be different from any other (relationship book) out there' Well, was I surprised! Who could imagine someone ever having the kind of vision and insight to bring to the forefront a talented treasure such as this book. Mandy gives her all in this extensive, professional and personal perspective on men/women and their quirks.

Mandy weaves together the different truths as to why (as women) we manage to attract and stay in unhealthy relationships. She teaches men and women specific techniques on how NOT to stay STUCK in relationships and how to be our best in or out of a relationship. Ms. Pratt also opens up about her clients' personal challenges which helps us to know we are not alone, and there's light at the end of any (relationship) tunnel.

Ultimately, the lesson of this book is how to be a better YOU! Yes, a classy lady. Better yet, a classy being. Loving self first and then loving others is the recipe for healthy lasting relationships. As 'individuals', Mandy also reminds us (ladies) how important self-care is to our hearts and minds.

This book will be around for generations to come!

Mandy did a great job correlating man and man's best friend ...

This book was a real joy for me to read. Mandy did a great job correlating man and man's best friend together throughout Why Men Are Like Dogs. With my experience of having both, I would have to agree on a lot of what Mandy has demonstrated. It was nice to see it from this very interesting angle. One of my favorite things, which I never really paid much attention to, was Classy Lady Lesson #3. I, myself, have a very strong personality. I would consider myself a very independent woman, who never really felt like I needed to look at myself from the position of being a traditional female role. It was refreshing to read, I can be both strong and helping my man with his mission, at the same time. A great (and fun) read for both women AND men. Wow, keep up the great work Mandy. Thanks, for sharing your terrific book.

I found myself nodding my head in agreement ...

I just finished reading Why Men Are Like Dogs and I have to admit, I was impressed. Mandy champions a return to a more traditional code of ethics and moral behavior that I think society could really use in this day and age. Having been married for 10 years, I found myself chuckling while reading her case studies and nodding my head in agreement with Mandy's advice. It's definitely a 'must read' for anyone in a relationship, looking for a relationship and even dog lovers in general! Great job, Mandy! Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to have a sneak peek at such a great book.

Thank you for deciphering men and their behavior ...

Mandy, you are absolutely right! Thank you so much for your help in deciphering men and their behavior. Why Men Are Like Dogs is fabulous. If it weren't for your coaching and now your book, I would still be doing the same things that never worked if it wasn't for you! I can't thank you enough.

Mandy breaks down the complexities of dating ...

I’m in a long-term, committed relationship and applied some of Mandy’s tips (recommended inside her book, Why Men Are Like Dogs) to my relationship. I noticed an immediate change in my boyfriend’s behavior toward me. I came home one afternoon and he just finished a load of laundry! I didn’t think he even knew how to operate the washing machine! Of course, I rewarded him like a good dog after he fetched a stick. It's clear, Mandy breaks down the complexities of dating into simple, easy-to-learn lessons. We women like to complicate and over analyze things, especially men and our relationships with them. I wish I would have read this book when I was a teenager. It would have saved me a lot of heartache and unnecessary sacrifice. Thank you, Mandy, for writing this book.
